This Months Story: Derek's Dogfighting Club

As Justin ran, he could feel his feet slipping on the wet cobblestone street. The rain was pelting his face as if someone was throwing rocks at him. He stopped to catch his breath and wiped his forehead with the back of his hand. The moonlight was shining on his back and it made him feel exposed. "When am I going to get there?" Justin whispered to himself.
He started to walk again and saw a dark figure out of the corner of his eye. He turned to face the figure and it turned around and ran away. Justin wanted to know who the figure was so he ran after it. The figure was very fast and Justin could tell that it knew that it was being followed. In about two minutes, Justin could tell that he was in a very dark alley. The figure stopped and faced Justin. Then, to Justin's amazement the figure opened a door on the side of a building.
A bright light filled the alley and blinded Justin. He closed his eyes and felt a warm breeze wrap around him like a warm blanket. He felt relaxed and suddenly felt the warmth leaving him. He opened his eyes and the light disappeared. He ran over to the door that the figure had opened and knocked. The door opened and a tall man with several scratches on his face looked down at Justin.
"What do you want?" the man asked. "Well, my dad is the owner of this place." Justin said. "Oh, I'm sorry." the man said. Then he smiled at Justin and motioned for him to come in. Justin nodded and walked in.'
"Welcome to Derek's Dogfighting Club." the man said. He closed the door and Justin followed him into the arena so he could find his dad.
